Winter Wonderland
Crafted to evoke the subtle, sublime beauty of freshly fallen snow. Slab built from cone 10 translucent porcelain, then hand stamped with various snowflake stamps I’ve collected over the years. After bisque firing the stamped areas are flooded with a snowy celadon glaze and fired. The last, and completely magical transformation, comes after a layer of mother of pearl luster is applied and the piece is fired for a third time—creating a stunning opalescent surface. These designs are truly a labor of love, and I am so excited to share them with you this season.
**Note on Porcelain**
Every effort has been made to create a perfectly round opening on mugs, cups, tumblers, and other porcelain items, but due to the nature of the material and the handcrafted process, some pieces may have slight variations and may not be perfectly round. Porcelain has a mind of its own, particularly with slab-built vessels. As with any handmade object, each piece is unique, with its own character, and still fully functional and beautiful in its own right.
