Crafted to evoke the subtle, sublime beauty of freshly fallen snow. Slab built from cone 10 translucent porcelain, then hand stamped with various snowflake stamps I’ve collected over the years. After bisque firing the stamped areas are flooded with a snowy celadon glaze and fired. The last, and completely magical transformation, comes after a layer of mother of pearl luster is applied and the piece is fired for a third time—creating a stunning opalescent surface.
